Namwon National Gugak Center

Established in Namwon in 1992, National Gugak Center is a center of dynamic performance

Through a variety of events, the Center ensures the preservation, balance between and propagation of Korean metropolitan and regional folk musics and dances. Additionally, through diverse performances, education, and research enterprises, the Namwon National Gugak Center promotes the creative development and adaptation of traditional culture to modern society, thereby contributing to a better understanding and appreciation of ancient and modern Korean folk arts.
